On the top of my list of preferred feeds: Progressive Nutrition, Triple Crown, Buckeye and I'm sure a few regional feeds are probably quite good. Bottom of my list would probably be both Purina and Nutrena. Currently, the closest feed dealer is Purina, no thanks. I was feeding Progressive til the price jumped and it jumped right out of my budget; loved it, my horses looked great, but I just couldn't afford to keep feeding it.
Currently, I'm feeding an extruded feed, I believe its a regional feed, and my horses are doing quite well on it. Also feeding senior (different brand) to my stallion, he loves it and does quite well on it (this is also a regional feed).

Recommended foods have in common the better ingredients and less of the unhelpful fillers. I haven't been able to find lists like that that attest to the caliber of brands of horse feed. Does anyone know where I can find reliable information?
