Your right there are different types of lime.
One is white powdered and the other is rocky. Hydrated Lime is in Wonder Dust. It the lime I buy in 50 lb bags for my stall floors. Old farmers used to do a trench of this lime to walk the drafts through as they went in and out of the barn to keep the hooves disinfected. You can also buy it as pickling lime in the grocery store and it comes in a neat shaker can for dusting the wounds. I have used lime with great results. I have a ton of all the miracle stuff the vets sell. None works as well as the lime to my knowledge.
Good Luck
