I have never used them. But I'll tell you what has worked for me. I go to HomeDepot and buy Rescue fly bags, (has to be Rescue brand, I've tried others and they don't work nearly as well. An I use the small bags not the large ones. The large Rescue bags don't seem to work as well as the small ones.) and I hang them around the outside of the fence around my barn. I hang them in the shade because it is too hot, in the sun, for them to work. I used them year before last. Started fairly close to the beginning of fly season. And almost immediately saw a noticeable decrease in the fly population. I kept it up all season. And last year I didn't have as bad a fly year. This year, I think because we had such a mild winter, and because I got a late start on the fly bags, the flies are bad again. But once again I am knocking a big hole in the fly population. Another thing that I swear on, is Endure fly spray. It is the best fly repellent I have found. ALL of them say that they will work for "up to" 2 weeks. And none of them actually last that long. But if I apply it like the label says to.....once a day for 3 days......I only have to apply it on Wednesdays and Saturdays after that. Which works out for my work schedule. And it keeps the flies off my horses. While I am killing the evil insects with the Rescue fly bags. My horses are not stalled. So they come and go as they please. But when I spray them, I do it inside the barn. So I don't have to worry about poisoning the outside environment. Hope that helps.
Carolyn
