It seems, at least to me, that he's endured a rather horrific amount of traveling. Hopefully he's not being stalled for than normal reasons, (severe adverse weather, heavy insect infestation or vet ordered rehabilitation).
Changing environments and herdmates can be extremely stressful.
That said, ulcers would be most likely, (assuming his dental work is up to date).
