It has now been 4 days sice it popped (Thursday) and we have ben away so have not see it since then but it is light swelling, responds immediately to either ice, hosing or wrapping and the swelling goes down very quickly. I think I am correct when I say they tell me the swelling comes and goes. Could this be a result of the abscess or should I be looking for bigger trouble like a ligament injury? I would like to avoid calling the vet out again--he was just here a few weeks ago---and try to deal with a worst case scenario. If it WERE a ligament injury shuld I rest her totally and for how long? hand walking OK?
