RE: [AskAVet] CAT FOOD 4 DOGS

I don't know that anything in cat food would be harmful to dogs. Cat food contains taurine, an amino acid essential for cats, but one that dogs synthesize on their own. For this reason cats won't do well on dog food. Otherwise, may not be much difference at all.
