[AskAVet] Re: Fly CONTROL...this totally works

I used the predators for several years with great success. Finally had to give them up because of my love of chickens. They learned to zoom around the dry lots looking for the manure piles. LOL
The only problem I had with them was the sales people wanted me to much earlier in the spring. For my area it was not worth it to start before the middle of May because of our cold temps or lots of rain. "They" claim the cold and the rain won't hurt them or kill them but I felt it did.

I always got a double batch the 3rd weekend of July. That is when the fly population jumped tremendously. I would increase my shipments after that too.

I also preferred to get shipments every other week. My horse count was usually about 5.

I also feed garlic powder. LOVE it. I get the best garlic powder and the best price from herbalcom.com

I start out with a small amount in the spring and work my way up to 1 tablespoon. I would have to get my notes out, but I think after the 3rd week of July I work the amount up to 2 tablespoons.

No.. it does not kill horses.
