Our 32 yo old QH mare has developed (for the 2nd time) small openings on the front of both legs in the area around the pastern bone above the hoof.
She has not been in contact with anything that could have done this and in addition another senior horse on the property has the same problem from time to time. Does anyone have any feedback that this occurs in older horses for no apparent reason?
