Maybe someone can tell me what Warren had recommended?
I have a mini who has always been itchy in the spring. He will rub his neck on whatever he can find to run on. The under side and sides...even along the crest.
The itchiness seems to wear off as the summer season comes but I can not remember exactly.
I body clip him every spring but that does not stop the itch.
This spring when I body clipped I saw some small areas along his mane that looked a bit flakey with mane missing.
I have never felt this mane and tail are as thick and long as they should be for a mini. Most horse owners who do not see him on a day to day basis think his mane and tail are thick. Trust me...they are not as thick as they should be.
Saturday I bathed him with Equi Tek shampoo and on Sunday he was rubbing again. I do not have the Equi Tek spray and will not have that until thursday so that is not being applied twice a day.
Any suggestions?
