When I worked with my farrier at Mountaineer park, I had a pair of steel toed boots that were a size too large and wide. I wore a pair of wool socks, laid a hand warmer across my toes, and then put on a pair of footies to hold it in place. My toes stayed toasty warm all day! Now I just wear a good pair of insulated boots around the farm while doing chores. The key to keeping your feet warm in them is to make sure they dry good inside overnight. Wet boots make for cold feet!

hope all are enduring the weather where you are!..not easy in many areas!..be strong & b4 you know it..spring will be here..here's a tip for those in fridged temps..if u have a role of cotton..cut off just enough to fold over your toes..u do not have to cover your whole foot..then put your foot back in your shoe..works best when u wear a shoe size 1/2 size larger than normal..this will help prevent frostbite on your toes...good luck out there with your 4 legged equine (or k9/kitty) buddies!
