I have never heard of using the cotton like that before but it sounds like a good one.
I find that the choice of boots that I wear when doing chores plays a factor in how cold my toes will get too.
If I don't take good vitamins daily my fingers and toes will get cold and hurt during chore time.

hope all are enduring the weather where you are!..not easy in many areas!..be strong & b4 you know it..spring will be here..here's a tip for those in fridged temps..if u have a role of cotton..cut off just enough to fold over your toes..u do not have to cover your whole foot..then put your foot back in your shoe..works best when u wear a shoe size 1/2 size larger than normal..this will help prevent frostbite on your toes...good luck out there with your 4 legged equine (or k9/kitty) buddies!
