Hello. I hope you can help me. I'm looking for a list of top horse feeds. When I want to find a top dog food I just look in the "Whole Dog Journal's" annual issue with a list of top foods. Recommended foods have in common the better ingredients and less of the unhelpful fillers. I haven't been able to find lists like that that attest to the caliber of brands of horse feed. Does anyone know where I can find reliable information?
I have an 8 y.o. with no health issues. I know for a fact that McCauley's puts out one of the better feeds...but I can't get that in my area. There must be other foods with better ingredients, i.e. I don't even know if Triple Crown is superior to Purina, the same, or less good.
The bottom line is, I don't want to have to be a nutritionist, I just want a list pulled together by reliable sources and will try to go with one of the foods from that list----as I do for my dogs.
Any help would be appreciated. You can email me privately if you prefer at dogquirks@comcast.net
