Sounds like a "popped splint," no big deal. It will heal and leave a
small bump. You're doing the right thing, rest and handwalking is how we
treat young TB's. The splint bone is a vestigal "toe" bone from the days
when horses were three toed. Young TB type horses commonly break them
during early training. My horse popped one running in the pasture.
Should be ok in 6 weeks or so. Take it easy with her for another month
just to be safe.
