[AskAVet] Injury on lower back leg

I  have a two yr. gelding that injured his back leg in the pasture. Im cleaning it daily and discharge keeps coming out and doesnt seem to be getting smaller, its been 21/2 weeks. Should i BE GIVING HIM ANTIBIOTICS?  The injurt area is palmer annular ligament.  Any advice would be great. Also will he ever be able to be ridden ?
